Pigmentation Treatments

Meline pigmentation treatments

Hyperpigmentation, sun damage and Melasma

What Is MELINE?

MELINE is the first and only brand specialising in treatments for pigmentation, offering specific treatments according to:

  • The type of pigmentation to be treated
  • Skin phototype (I-VI)
  • Area of the body affected

MELINE treatments offer both in-clinic peel treatments and homecare products that work in synergy, optimising their results. The potent depigmenting action of these home serums and emulsions complement the effects of the skin peels applied in clinic and are crucial for the success of the treatment.

What is Hyperpigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation is an umbrella term used to cover any number of conditions where one patch of skin becomes noticeably darker that the surrounding skin of the same area. It can be caused by various factors such as sun exposure, hormonal changes, trauma, acne, medication, scarring, etc which can trigger the excessive production of melanin (pigment) in our skin cells.

Melasma, which generally affects women (especially those with darker skin types), primarily appears as a result of hormonal changes. This type of hyperpigmentation normally appears on the forehead, cheeks, upper lip and chin areas.

What Are The Main Active Ingredients in MELINE Peels?

Azelaic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Tranexamic Acid, Kojic Acid, Retinal, Salicylic Acidm Ascorbic Acid, Phytic Acid and Pyruvic Acid.

“One in three women over the age of 40 suffer from pigmentation on the skin, which increases as they age. This figure can rise up to 90% among women over 50 years old.”
