What Is Radiofrequency?

Radiofrequency (RF) is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure indicated in the treatment of intense flaccidity by helping smoothen, tighten and contour skin. It can help treat sagging skin, lack of definition in the jaw line, loose jowls, sagging neck skin, wrinkles and fine lines.

RF increases the temperature of the skin with the aim of stimulating the synthesis of collagen. The RF current promotes the deposition of new collagen and also increases the longevity of fibroblasts.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Radiofrequency?

RF can be used to treat a number of different areas, including:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Body (hands, arms, thighs, abdomen)

Is Radiofrequency Safe and Effective?

RF has shown excellent results in combination with microneedling in alternate sessions every 15-20 days over 4-6 months.

This treatment can be performed in summer months and it is well tolerated, causing minor discomfort or pain. Side effects are rare but can include swelling, redness, bumps, minor burns and blisters on or around the treated area.

What Are The Benefits Of Radiofrequency?

  • The electromyostimulation (EMS) improves muscle mass and tonicity that is lost with age.
  • RF promotes collagen production, skin tightening and increased elasticity.
  • Blue LED light has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties and it is great for acne, eczema, psoriasis and antiageing.
  • The clockwise and anticlockwise rotation improves facial contour while receiving a pleasant massage
